MC, R.Psych.
In my counselling practice, I strive to foster therapeutic relationships grounded in trust, authenticity, and compassion. This relationship is essential in assisting clients on their journey to healing and positive change. My counselling approach emphasizes a client-centered and strength-based approach, to empower clients in developing new skills and building healthier connections.
My background and training are in the evidence-based approaches of Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Attachment Theory. My treatment approach emphasizes collaboration and feedback, in order to closely align client’s goals with the treatment plan.
I am a Registered Psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists. I have been working in the mental health field for over 8 years within schools, hospitals and not-for-profit agencies. My areas of specialization include anxiety, Tourette Syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, trauma, child and adolescent social, emotional and behavioural concerns, and parent-child relational difficulties. I offer child, adolescent, adult, and family services.
